My Dremel drill press couldn't be set so that the drill was at 90-degrees to the base.
The adverts claim - "drills perpendicular and angled holes in 15-degree increments, up to 90 degrees horizontal"
The drill itself was canted about 5 degrees anti-clockwise (in a very flexible plastic bracket) - which meant that any holes drilled were off-vertical, and small-diameter drill bits - like the 1mm diamond bits I use for drilling fused-glass jewellery - were prone to snapping.
From Googling on the web - it seems that many people have this problem.
So - I contacted Dremel support...
Here's the response I got
"Dear Adrian,
Thank you for your email.

Problems with Dremel 220 workstation / drill-press
I think what they're trying to say is 'yes - it's as sloppy as a sloppy thing - and not really fit for any serious engineering purpose....'
So if you're looking to drill nice perpendicular holes - don't waste your money on a Dremel drill press
as you'd get more precision with a short piece of sharpened spaghetti!!
Sad really....
